Under the hood of a vehicle, a variety of labels are used. Barcode labels or RFID labels for the identification of components or multi-coloured printed information signs and warning signs must fulfil their purpose under the most difficult conditions. In addition to resistance to oil, water, chemicals and heat, the labels must also adhere strongly to difficult substrates such as oily components, rubber or textiles and, of course, be resistant to mechanical influences. The printed information and instructions must remain clearly legible under all circumstances and over the entire service life of the component.
